Lydd Town Railway Station
The derelict remains of Lydd Railway Station are graffiti-clad and silent almost five decades after it closed.
It opened on December 7, 1881 and served passengers right up until the late 1960s, when its main use was shifted to transport freight.
Located at one of the furthest points west of the county, Lydd station in the Romney Marsh and its track has remained in place for 47 years after its closure.
By 2021 it will be 50 years since the station stopped operation altogether.
The single-track line was built by The Lydd Railway Company and operated by South Eastern Railway.
But by October 1971, the line met its end, and ever since it has fallen victim to vandalism and a fire.
The station's block has thin net curtains in the window, and the track itself is surrounded by towering weeds.
